Survey on Pedagogical Vocabularies

CETIS is carrying out the JISC Pedagogical Vocabularies Project, which is preparing two reports and a set of recommendations for JISC by November 30th 2005. The reports, which are essentially inventories, will list existing pedagogical vocabularies and existing technologies for managing vocabularies (such as standards, specifications, methodologies and tools). The recommendations will be for further developments in the area of pedagogical vocabularies.

The project is not creating a new pedagogical vocabulary or vocabularies but will be getting a good idea of what already exists.

The project team would like to elicit the knowledge and expertise of the wider educational community for these reports. An online survey is available to gather the following feedback:

• What uses you might make of pedagogical vocabularies?

• What information about such vocabularies you would like to see in the reports?

• What pedagogical vocabularies and technologies you already know about for the inventories?
