Paul originally joined the CETIS team in 2003 having previously been the Head of Business development for a UK based educational content publisher and before that spent several years in the digital Games industry.
On starting the role Paul commented: “I’m excited by the challenge of maintaining the exceptionally high quality of CETIS work in educational technology and interoperability and by the opportunity presented by my new role as Director.”
Adam joined JISC CETIS in 2006 with a wealth of experience of implementing educational technology in further and higher education, and having worked in both the public and private sector.“It’s a splendid time to be involved in educational technology and standards; there are some really exciting things going on in terms of what people are doing with technology in education and the behind-the-scenes technologies and standards that make it all hang together,” he said.
Paul and Adam take over from Professor Oleg Liber, the co-founder of the service who retired at the end of February. They are determined to continue to build the reputation the service has developed in promoting and supporting standards based educational technology. Colleagues at JISC CETIS wish them all the best in their new roles.
