A Final Report has now been submitted by the cross-sector team undertaking a Scoping Study into learners’ experiences as recorded in published research. The study is part of the Understanding my Learning theme of the e-Learning and Pedagogy strand of the e-Learning Programme.
The study team - Rhona Sharpe and Greg Benfield, Oxford Brookes University, Eta De Cicco, NIACE and Ellen Lessner, Abingdon and Witney College - found that comparatively little research had been undertaken into learners’ expectations and experiences of e-learning. The team's outcomes which include a database of annotated studies and concept maps of the research domain, are now available. A research study, led by Glasgow Caledonian University and the Open Learning Partnership, will begin to redress the balance with a series of learner interviews, observations and focus groups.
More information is now available on the e-Learning and Pedagogy site
