JISC’s third Capital Programme Circular, to be issued on 27th April, will comprise seven calls in the areas of e-Learning, e-Infrastructure, and Repositories and Preservation, as well as a cross-programme call, totalling £5.3m worth of funding for development across higher and further education in England and Wales. A briefing day will be held on the 9th May.

The latest issue of the e-Framework newlsetter is now available online. It includes a report from SURF on SOA readiness, and work going on at the New Zealand Ministry of Education to model the business architecture of the education sector.

The projects are being funded under e-learning, repositories and preservation, e-infrastructure, users and innovation, and e-research strands of the overarching programme, which represents an investment of some £90m over three years. The call for proposals was issued in September of last year, the second of three under the programme.
