e-Portfolios are not a new concept. In various guises, digital presentations of skills and competences, online records of achievement, and action plans with opportunities for reflection, have been in use in education for nearly a decade. So what is new about e-portfolios?
Workshops at Newcastle University on 2nd February and Aston University on 19th February, will explore what we mean by e-portfolios and how e-portfolios can support learning. Drawing on the work JISC-funded projects they will provide a snapshot of learning enhanced by e-portfolios in higher, further and continuing education.
Attendance on the workshop is free to staff from the Higher and Further Education sector, please be aware that places are limited to two per organisation.
More details about these workshops, including how to book, can be found at: http://www.netskills.ac.uk/workshop/4240 for Newcastle and http://www.netskills.ac.uk/workshop/4241 for Aston
