A summary of the SLED (Service based LEarning Design) toolkit project.
This project developed tools to handle learning material described using IMS Learning Design. SLD developed two tools, an LD engine extending the Coppercore engine to include levels A, B and C of the specification. The project also produced a SLeD Learning Design Player which works in conjuction with the Coppercore engine.
The project was based at the Open University and the OU Netherlands and maps to the Learning Design service definitions of the e-learning Framework; Activity Management and Learning Flow.
