New online resource on soa in education

In the modern, globalized and highly competitive world universities and colleges have to use all resources at their disposal to remain viable, and it is becoming increasingly important for any Higher and Further Education Institution to use its information to support its present and future business processes. There have been a number of approaches to achieving the integration this implies with various strengths and weaknesses. The most recent of these, and some would say the most promising, is Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
In this publication we aim to provide a snapshot of where we are in March 2009, and we've also identified resources which would help you delve deeper and find out more, and links to the work that JISC has been funding in this area for many years.
