Overview of the Programme
25 Mar, 2006
During the last ten years JISC has managed a number of programmes intended to facilitate the adoption and exploitation of e-learning technologies. All this work has culminated in its ambitious new e-Learning Programme, with strands addressing pedagogy, innovation, distributed e-learning and a strand devoted to the development and implementation of an e-learning framework.
- For more about the background to the Programme see Why the e-learning Programme?
- The main JISC web site has formal information on the e-learning Programme and Projects
- The e-Learning Framework site has information for developers on the framework and related technical development projects.
The menu on the left has further information on the strands and projects.
One of the exciting aspects of the programme is that it is funding smaller, and shorter projects, the results from which can then influence the design of later funding rounds. We will be highlighting the outcomes and results of projects and studies as they become available during the life of projects, and developing a commentary about what is happening that will enable the wider community to become involved and to have an influence on the next stages of the work.
A number of articles are being written which will be elaborating and commenting on these developments and these will be appearing here in due course
