Please describe the tool you are building
WCKER is a wizard which simplifies the creation of content packages using the Reload tool. Reload is an open source tool which assists the creation and editing of IMS content packages. These IMS content packages can be imported into a number of IMS compliant VLEs while maintaining course structures.
What problem do you see the development of this tool helping to address?
The WCKER tool will allow course authors to construct of good quality course structures in the IMS content packaging format. These course structures can be imported into a number of VLEs making it easy for authors to move their course content from one e-learning system to another.
Who do you see the being the primary user(s) of this tool?
Course Authors, Learning Technologists in using the WCKER tool and Developers in constructing new wizards.
How do you see your tool being used?
Course authors will use WCKER to produce of course ware for IMS CP compliant VLEs.
To use your tool, what infrastructure etc (if any) will be needed? (ie - could it be used stand-alone? Would it need a VLE/other system to be in place?) Standalone client side tool which produces content for a VLE
